Apex Assists Meals in Motion
Here at Apex, we focus on serving God, our family, and our community. We participate in Move For Hunger, which is a nationwide collaboration between movers to transport nonperishable food items to local food pantries. We also assist the Puyallup Food Bank as needed.
For about 5 years now, we’ve been serving with Motion Church and their Meals in Motion Food Bank. While our involvement in the church and ministry has grown, things have obviously had to change due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ironically, as the need to socially distance and isolate increases, so many families are turning to Meals in Motion for help at this time.
We recently hosted a socially-distant food drive at our Puyallup office, encouraging people who were able to leave nonperishable food items on a shelf outside the office. Then, we were able to collect and donate all of the items to Meals in Motion. And those donations were greatly needed and appreciated—at one recent event where 60 families were expected, over 100 showed up!
If you find yourself in need during this unprecedented time, Meals in Motion will be taking place Saturday, May 16 at 3:30 p.m. at Motion Church’s three locations: Puyallup, Bonney Lake and South Hill.
Keep an eye out for us (Dean and Loretta). We’re so grateful we are able to serve our community!
